Water Station has had
many volunteers through the years. Volunteers
are welcome if they have the simple goal to help reduce the heat related
deaths. Faithful
volunteers and donations are the back bone that keeps Water Station alive to
continue helping those in need. Our runs to the desert happen every other
weekend. We install and maintain the
water stations annually from late March to the end of October. Water Station in the only Non Profit organization that
has the legal permits to operate, install and maintain the water stations
from The Bureau of Land Management, and the Anza Borrego State Park. We
maintain friendly relations with the Border Patrol. WE HAVE INSTALLED 200

Volunteers Needed !! "FUN UNDER THE SUN" Water
Station deploys and maintains Water Stations in the Southern California
Desert. Our goal is to prevent people from dying from heat and dehydration.
We are a 501 C3 Non-Profit, all volunteer organization. You may have seen our
characteristic blue, or orange and blue, flags along highway 98 or in other
parts of the desert. Our
main goal is to reduce the heat deaths of any persons crossing the desert
areas in the hot Summer months. 2013 is our 14th year of work and we currently
have 200 water stations installed and being serviced every other week. Water
Station Maintenance. From
March through October we will maintain the supply of water in each station so
that any person reaching a Water Station can get water. Our
schedules are very flexible with some volunteers performing their runs during
different days of the week. For
