ABOUT US

V O L U N T E E R S

Water Station has had many volunteers through the years.

Volunteers are welcome if they have the simple goal to help reduce the heat related deaths.

Faithful volunteers and donations are the back bone that keeps Water Station alive to continue helping those in need. Our runs to the desert happen every other weekend.  We install and maintain the water stations annually from late March to the end of October.

Water Station in the only Non Profit organization that has the legal permits to operate, install and maintain the water stations from The Bureau of Land Management, and the Anza Borrego State Park.

We maintain friendly relations with the Border Patrol.

WE HAVE INSTALLED 200 WATER STATIONS

"FUN UNDER THE SUN"

Water Station deploys and maintains Water Stations in the Southern California Desert. Our goal is to prevent people from dying from heat and dehydration. We are a 501 C3 Non-Profit, all volunteer organization. You may have seen our characteristic blue, or orange and blue, flags along highway 98 or in other parts of the desert.

Our main goal is to reduce the heat deaths of any persons crossing the desert areas in the hot Summer months. 2013 is our 14th year of work and we currently have 200 water stations installed and being serviced every other week.

Water Station Maintenance.

From March through October we will maintain the supply of water in each station so that any person reaching a Water Station can get water.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and we will accept your help if you have the simple conviction to help those who might otherwise die without water in the desert.

Our schedules are very flexible with some volunteers performing their runs during different days of the week.
